Cosy apartment at 27 Carrer Martinez de la Rosa

The 45sqm big apartment that felt rather spacious. (Maybe because we are such small people?) Because there were no windows in the bedroom, the cold was kept away at night!

These are some pictures of the apartment that we have spent the past 4 weeks in.
We found this apartment on Airbnb. It was a cosy place that was situated in a quiet neighbourhood between Gracia and Eixample, minutes away from the nearest metro and Avinguda Diagonal. I loved how Avinguda Diagonal stretched 5km one way from the apartment towards the Barcelona University district. It had become my running route for almost every day this month!

Our very lovely hostess – Ana and her dad, Senor Sebastian. There were so many paintings in the apartment and they were all done by Senor Sebastian.

This is my favourite wall in the apartment!

Sometimes we would dine at the balcony which was no wider than a meter. We made this dessert – olive oil and dark chocolate on toasted pan with sea salt on top. Apparently it was a Ferran Adria’s recipe that W found online. Maybe it was a typical Catalan dessert? (We had a salted chocolate cake at Canete recently.) A slightly more expensive but very tasty vino tinto.

Plat Ring, just down the street: our favourite place to pick up food when we got too hungry and did not have time to prepare meals. 6.75 Euros for a 2-dish meal on a weekday.
